Dieses Objekt zeigt das Motiv eines Löwengreifes, (550-330BC) einem Fabelwesen von der Gestalt eines Löwen, mit Flügeln und Klauen eines Greifvogels und mit Hörnern auf dem Kopf. Das goldene Original wurde in Hagmatana Tappeh im heutigen Hamadan (das alte Ecbatana) gefunden. Heute befindet sich dieses Kunstwerk in Oriental Institute  Museum of University of Chicago. Den unteren Rand bildet eine Zierleiste aus Lotusblüten. Die Lotusblume war eines der Symbole der Achämeniden .

This object shows the motif of a Lion Griffin, (550-330 BC) a mythical creature with the stature of a lion, with wings and claws of a raptor and with horns on the head. The golden original object has been found in Hagmatana Tappeh in city of Hamadan (ancient Ecbatana). Today this Beautiful artifact is Located in Oriental Institute Museum of University of Chicago. The lower margin is formed by an ornamental band with buds of Lotus. Lotus was one of the symbols of the Achaemenid kingdom .
